Tour Details

Embark on a captivating 7-day journey through Greece, beginning in Athens. The first two days are enriched with exploration as you traverse Athens on a city tour, marveling at landmarks like the Panathenaic Stadium and the Acropolis, culminating in a visit to the Acropolis Museum.

  • As from 01/01/2024, the accommodation tax of 1.5 € for 3 * hotel / 3 € for 4* hotel / 4 € for 5* hotel per night valid from 01/01/2018, is replaced by the CLIMATE CRISIS RESILIENCE FEE which is 3 € for 3 * hotel / 7 € for 4* hotel / 10 € for 5* hotel 10 € per room/night from March to October 2024. This fee is payable by the guests directly at the hotel upon check out.

Important notes

  • Hotel official check-in time: 15:00 Hrs. & check-out time: 11:00 Hrs
  • Tpl room: dbl bed + extra bed (as a 3rd person in a triple room, most hotels use rollaway beds and room size may be the same as the double room)
  • Child rates are valid for 1 child in sharing room with two full-paying adults
  • Tips: Tipping is expected from anyone providing your service e.g. Coach Driver, Local Guides etc. The tipping system is not mandatory but obligatory for the guests as an expression of gratitude.
  • Above rates are not valid during National / Bank Holidays or during major City Events that may take place in Greece.
  • Most hotels do not provide tea kettles in the rooms
  • Any damages caused to the hotel rooms / Coach during your stay, shall be payable by the passengers.
  • We also reserve the right to substitute a hotel of similar class if it is deemed advisable or necessary
  • Customers will be responsible for any, loss, baggage loss, theft, injury, accident, death, breakdown or irregularity, which may occur in carrying out the tour arrangement, weather conditions, strikes, war, quarantine and any other cause whatsoever and all such loss or expense must be borne by the passengers. Insurance policies must be carried while on tour.

A free day in Thessaloniki follows, offering the flexibility to relax or opt for an optional tour to the extraordinary Meteora Monasteries.

The journey concludes with a transfer on the seventh day, leaving you with cherished memories of the cultural richness and natural beauty that Greece has to offer.

Itinerary

Day 1Athens

Arrival in Athens. Our transfer will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your hotel. Check-in. Overnight.

Day 2Athens - Athens city tour with Acropolis and Acropolis Museum

This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Our expert guides will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (short stop). Continue and pass by the Prime Minister’s residence (ex. Royal Palace) guarded by the Euzones in their colorful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma).

On the Acropolis visit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the monument that “puts order in the mind”, the Parthenon. Continue and visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era: The new Acropolis museum. Return to hotel. Overnight.

Day 3Athens – Free day

Breakfast and free day at leisure. Overnight

Optional – One Day cruise to 3 islands (Hydra – Poros – Aegina) with lunch on board:

We pick you up from your hotel early in the morning in order to take you by coach to the port for embarkation on the cruise ship. At 08:15 the cruise ship departs and sails for the first stopover on the island of Hydra. You will spend approximately one hour, thus you have free time to explore the unique island. Embarkation and sail to the island of Poros, separated from Peloponnese by a narrow strait and offering a most enchanting view of Poros town. Leisure time in Poros will be approximately 60 minutes. After two hours trip we shall arrive to the last port, the island of Aegina, where you have time either to make an optional tour visiting the Athena Afea Temple or to swim to the nearest beaches of the island.

Total time to be spent one hour and a half. Lunch is served on board during the voyage. Re-embarkation and sailing back to the port and return back to hotel. Overnight.

Day 4Athens - Thessaloniki

Transfer to the airport for your 60min flight to Thessaloniki. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Check in. Welcome dinner .Overnight.

Day 5Thessaloniki – Mount Athos with Cruise

Live a unique experience with the summer breeze that travels you while being on board to Mount Athos. During the cruise, you can admire eight of the twenty Holy Monasteries of Mt. Athos, situated in the west coast of the peninsula of Athos, in Sithonia bay.

The cruise continues to the beautiful island of Ammouliani; the unique inhabited island in Chalkidiki very popular for the crystal-blue water of the sea and the white sand beaches, all of them awarded with the blue flag certification. Return to hotel. Overnight.

Day 6Thessaloniki:

Breakfast and free day at leisure. Overnight

Optional tour to Meteora:

A highlight of your stay in Greece will be a visit to the Meteora Monasteries. Meteora is a geological miracle, which one should see for himself in order to believe. Nowadays, only six monasteries are well preserved and four of them are still inhabited. We shall visit 2 of these fabulous monasteries, built high upon the steep rocks. Each monastery owns a vast richness of frescoes and icons. Afterwards, we will make our lunch break (on your own) in Kalambaka. Return to the city of Thessaloniki.

Day 7Thessaloniki:

Transfer to airport for your flight back home, having the best impression from your trip!
